The issue is only with deskapp with the latest version.

Now, I use only webapp with no problems.

I have looked at the changelog of WebApp and Kopano Core. I didn’t see anything about my problem. An update is a bigger problem, I don’t want to approach it on suspicion.

On Deskapp 2.5.4 an Core 8.7.9, Problem exists. The errormessage is gone, if i deinstalled old obsolet package “kdelibs5-data”. But if i click on a file and say “send via mail”, i see very short an kopanowindow and then nothing.

What Raute describes would be a very useful security feature. In Microsoft Exchange, brute force password guessing is a problem. In Kopano one can avoid this for the WebApp via client certificates. If one is consistent, this limits usage of the DeskApp to within the LAN. For WAN usage of the DeskApp, some sort of two factor authentication would be required. A client certificate might be the least disturbing variant.

@boospy @onex-de What is your experience with using signatures for standard texts?
Because we faced the problem that when you edit something in the signature, for example the name of the recipient or add some text, the formatting gets messed up (font type/size, number of line breaks).
While editing the email it looks fine, but if you review the email in your sent folder, it looks messed up.
It even gets worse (number of line breaks) if you forward an email from your sent folder to another recipient.

We still use the TinyMCE Editor, as Quill is very limited.
Any thoughts on that?

Hi @schmidmeyer,

it is not possible to simply add another mailbox into WebApp/DeskApp. Instead you would need to create another mailbox in Kopano and use for example fetchmail to pull emails into the account and the use send-as to send as this address.

If that external company would allow their emails to be pulled into another system is a topic that you would need to discuss with them.
