The KOE plugin is often disabled from Outlook and it would make sense that IT send out proactive an information to the user. But there is no easy way to detect this problems on the server side.
Some more information in z-push-admin would help to detect the issues (and maybe send out the warning via script).

Z-Push-admin shows only something like :

      DeviceId: b556898badcd4920b9b6e4a0198fb264
      Device type: WindowsOutlook
      UserAgent: Outlook/16.0 (16.0.4588.1000; MSI; x86)
      ActiveSync version: 14.0
      First sync: 2017-09-25 08:13
      Last sync: 2017-10-20 09:29
      . . .
      Kopano Outlook Extension:
              Version: 1.5.231
              Build: 83c70537b3b6fcc09e60c4ec9b52fe40d7b4eeb2
              Build Date: 2017-09-20 14:43
              Capabilities: receiveflags,sendflags,bcc,oof,ooftime,sharedfolders,webapp,freebusy,gab,notes,secondarycontacts,sendas,signatures,debugsupport,syncstate,deliveryreceipts
      Attention needed: No errors known

I’m missing the “Last sync” information in the “Kopano Outlook Extension” block and something like “big time difference mail sync and KOE sync” instead of “No errors known”,

      That would help :

      DeviceId: b556898badcd4920b9b6e4a0198fb264
      Device type: WindowsOutlook
      UserAgent: Outlook/16.0 (16.0.4588.1000; MSI; x86)
      ActiveSync version: 14.0
      First sync: 2017-09-25 08:13
      Last sync: 2017-10-20 09:29
      . . .

              Last KOE sync: 2017-10-05 09:29
              Capabilities: receiveflags,sendflags,bcc,oof,ooftime,sharedfolders,webapp,freebusy,gab,notes,secondarycontacts,sendas,signatures,debugsupport,syncstate,deliveryreceipts
Attention needed: please check KOE plugin on the client

This feature will be implemented in Z-Push 2.4.0 - Ticket: https://jira.z-hub.io/browse/ZP-1305

          Thanks for the suggestion!

            Hi,

this feature is available in Z-Push 2.4.0.alpha1+15 for testing. Get more information here: https://forum.kopano.io/post/4213

When KOE has not yet announced itself it will show as status “unknown” in z-push-admin. You can “fix” that by pressing send-receive in Outlook.
Due to performance reasons we do update this value only every 6h and only show the date in the last sync. A warning, as suggested, will be displayed if there was no KOE request for 7h after the last sync event.

Could you have a look at this? Feedback is very welcome.

            Cheers,
            Sebastian
