sendas with new mail missing feature?
-
Tested it like screenshots, doesn’t work for any accounts (with WebApp no problems).
Answering on an email with sendas works fine. Is there any debug possibility?Using Outlook 2016 with KOE 1.6.282, z-push2.3.9 and Kopano 8.5.4
Thanks.

it should print the resolved user in the koe.log
2018/04/03 14:02:59.142 (1,VSTA_Main): Trace: SendAs: SendAs: mail@something.com: username (mail@something.com)

what kind of error message do you get? what exactly happens?

I get no error messages, new mail is send without error from user account. It ignores “from” value.
Example with a new mail:

Kopano Spooler log has no errors, answering on received mails with sendas shows:

Is your gab synced?
-
Please also post a Z-Push wbxml log when sending.
-
Gab is synced every day with cronjob.
wbxml log:
https://www.file-upload.net/download-13064179/all.log.html -
@HBO can you upload that somewhere, where you do not have to install a download program first? https://pastebin.com/? Create a gist on github?
-
You don’t need to download something, it’s like adware popup. After closing popup you can click again this blue download button and download the whole file (without any adware). It’s too big for pastebin, about 10mb.
-
I had a look at your log.
The email is sent without theX-Push-Sender
header and this way, Z-Push does not invoke the send-as, but sends the email from the authenticated user account.I guess you do select the FROM address manually when you send the new mail?

Correct, it’s not filled automatically. I have to set the FROM address manually.
Works fine for answering on existing mail, but not on new mail. -

Works fine for answering on existing mail, but not on new mail. But that’s the whole thing. If you just hit “new mail” in Outlook and want to send as an address different from your primary account you always need to set the from manually. There is no automated way to say “I am currently in folder X, so I want to send with address y”.
Before I understood you like “I can set a differing from in a new mail, but that option is not honoured when the email is sent”.
-
I made a screenshot, i set FROM address out of allowed sendas shared box:
https://image.ibb.co/dQFerc/sendas.png
But mail is sent by Primary account. -
Did some new tests but Problem still exists, some new hints to solve this problem?

Since you are using the release version I guess you have a subscription?
I still feel like we are misunderstanding each other, i’d recommend to get in contact with our support. Talking in person often helps to clear up confusion.

Sure, i’ve got a Basic subscription. I’ll open a support ticket.
