It was not a permissions issue. The errors were returned regardless of which user was logged in and making changes, and permissions were correctly set. Also the modifications made to the calendar were actually successful (items were deleted or created), despite the pop-ups indicating a problem.

In case anyone else has this problem, I managed to resolve this in the end by exporting the entire user store with kopano-backup, creating a new store for the user (with a different Store guid) and then reimporting all items.

After this the errors disappeared. I can only think the original store must have been somehow corrupt.

I am using nextcloud together with kopano - works fine :-) I even can use the kopano credentials

Hmmm … I plan to switch to Kopano form Kerio Connect and Firefox because I wan better integration of mail, calendar and tasks. With Firefox and IMAP this is no issue with Kopano adn I get notifications for shared folders. I this this should be solvable in the webapp too as it is also no issue with the Kerio Connect web access.

Q3/18 … sad … so I can not use the web an desktop app till then.

We are currently investigating an issue in Kopano Groupware Core related to categories that go missing after logout/login. Keep an eye on https://jira.kopano.io/browse/KC-1045.

–> Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
does the webapp runs on the same system as KC? - how do they connect (tcp pipe or file?)
–> Yes, the webapp is running on the same server.
does it happens for all calendars or some users?
–> With a new user the release works. With 2 existing users the release does not work.
does your db-server logs any query errors?
–> Log is empty (I still have to configure)
and last question does kopano-server logs anything special?
–> The Kopano Server Log has no entries in this regard

I just noticed that when setting up the share, Contacts is selected as the default address book for the user selection. There I have to select Global Address Book and the user. Thus, the release works perfectly. (Problem is with me.)

I think this is the problem done.
It is sometimes enough that someone asks questions ;-)
