      Hi community,

I hope anybody can help me … I have successfully installed Z-Push and could connect to Kopano so that the Mails which I had (currently only a few) were replicated and the calendar was correctly updated.
      Here comes the issue:
The contacts have been synchronized - but now they are multiplying endlessly. So, from initial 700 contacts, I have now at least 5000 – and they would still increase, if I had not stopped the sync from Android side.
So, did anybody encounter such a problem? What could be wrong?
Also, is there a way to delete all of the duplicates? It takes REALLY long to delete page by page.

      Thanks!

      Heinrich

I’ve seen something like this in combination with Facebook/Linked/Xing and/or other social network apps that create/update contacts in the addressbook.
But honestly, this hasn’t been in an issue for years.

It would still be interesting to get a log to see if we can identify what’s going on. You could enable WBXML logging in Z-Push, re-enable the sync, keep it running a few minutes and post some logs. Here how: https://wiki.z-hub.io/display/ZP/Debugging

There were some scripts to remove duplicates (still on the Zarafa stack), but I couldn’t find them right now.

TO BE CLOSED I turned back to where I used to be, and “upgraded” to Ubuntu 14.04(I used to have 12.04 before the crash). Zarafa 7.1.11-46050 is still working fine, now the mails get delivered in and out, Fetchmail can again deliver to my local users, Contacts are synct correctly. That is currently all I need.
I know that latest in 04/2019 I will have to take care to upgrade to something higher than Ub14.04, but then other parameters in my life may change aswell ;-)
Thanks to the community for your support anyway, even if I cannot call Kopano a “success story” for me. Bye, Heinrich

Unfortunately, after setting up Zarafa 7.1.11, the duplicate entry issue follows me … I restored my adress book in my Android smartphone (799 entries). Immediately, the contacts start to be duiplicated.
As I didn’t realize this at the very beginning, I had est. 468.000 entries … I deleted the waste by implementing an empty CSV file as described in this thread including the MAPI issue > I solved it as described by fbartels.
Why do the contacts duplicate themselves??
