Error in receiving calendar invites - Kopano 8.7.5 - final release
-
I reverted back to 8.6 (although with the same database I had on 8.7 just removing the versions entry) and the calendar invites received in Outlook are back to normal.
Therefore I do believe this is a bug in Kopano 8.7.5 production version (note I downloaded it from the final repository).
Please could someone have a look at this?
Thank you.
-
moved back to 8.7.5 and the problem reoccurs.
If I send a calendar invite from Kopano Webapp to any external company using Outlook the message is received as above.
Therefore as far as I can see 8.7.5 is broken.
-
I would appreciate some help with this as otherwise I have to roll back to 8.6 permanently.

(note I downloaded it from the final repository). << Contact kopano support, your paying for it.
-
no, I don’t have support.
What I am however surprised is that nobody has had this issue?
-
Hi @mcostan,
I was not able to reproduce it with KC 8.7.5, Webapp 3.5.10.2410+1355.1, Z-Push 2.5.1, Outlook 2013 + KOE 2.0.340.
Does the invitee using Outlook also has KOE installed? Is he using Outlook over ActiveSync at all? If yes, please provide WBXML level Z-Push log of the item being synced to Outlook.

Hi Manfred,
This happens when from Kopano Webapp I send a calendar invitation to an external internet address
more specificaly
Which is where I work (my day job).
I am under the impression that the ukmajorbank.com uses Microsoft Exchange to receive the messages.
Instead of in Outlook seeing a calendar invitation, I see the message above.
Therefore no z-push is involved…
-
This is the message that works. Name of the bank removed.
One meeting invite has been sent with 8.6 and one with 8.7
Delivered to the same destination email address (me working at the bank in question, i.e. my day job email address).

Hi @mcostan,
sorry, but I’m not able to help you here. I’m a Z-Push developer and not familiar with core implementation. However I’m quite sure that the problem is not with the email headers, but rather with its body. Did you compare them from Sent Items for KC 8.6 and 8.7?
Manfred
-
Manfred,
The topic should definitely be moved to Core.
Summary: It is rather random.
I haven’t been able to pin point when and where it happens.
Two messages appear in the destination (remote bank) outlook and they look the same but one and the other doesn’t.
I’ll have to keep trying till I find some consistently reproducible error.
I do think there is a problem somewhere (likely to be in Kopano-core) as I have never seen this happening before with 8.6
As I said working in that bank is my day job therefore I send myself plenty of invites from Kopano to there and I have only ever seen this happening after I recently upgraded to 8.7.5
I’ll report back any problems if I find them again
Thank you very much for your help as always.
