i don’t know at MAPI_E_DISK_ERROR and MAPI_E_NETWORK_ERROR
there was also a messages by import with MAPI_E_DISK_ERROR waiting… try again… 5sek or similar.
The maschine was not on ssd only hdd, but the import is finished after 14hours. After this i notice also moving messages was very slow. So, i check the tuning, because i do a few udates and changes since first installation…

now it runs very smoother also with moving a few houndert messages.
i think the import was the same thing.

Back to the thunderbirs/outlook folder sync…
after restart/rebooting the server outlook and thunderbird’s folders are not watching.
Then i move the folders to another dir, wait a bit and restart thunderbird. After this, the folders are watching by wait a few seconds/minute, then i move the folders back to the main dir with thunderbird, now it seems to be ok.

no this is not possible with our imap implementation and we have also no plans to work on this (but you could still use an active user and then log in with that user in an additional account).

This is sadly not possible in Outlook. Outlook can only show elements that have previously been synced to the device.

You actually had it already right the first time. dagent handles incoming mail and spooler outgoing. therefore when a message has been sent by spooler, the spooler process itself takes care of moving the message from the outbox to the sent items.

No, something like that does not exist.

please include versions (and possibly OS) information when reporting problems. When you cannot login via imap then it would be interesting to know what is logged at these times on the server. is kopano-gateway running at all? is there something in its logging of maybe in the dmesg output?

SMTP itself is unrelated to Kopano, as this is something your MTA (e.g. postfix) will provide for you.

thanks for your answer. I changed ICAL log to debug and made a test with Mozillas Thunderbird. While I create new entries within the calendar ICAL is logging every action. While I’m sending answers for invitations (accept/ deny invitation) ICAL log is silent but the MTA log and Kopanos Dagent are writing new entries. Nearly the same like they do, when they are processing new mails. So I guess Thunderbird is sending answers via SMTP trough the MTA.
When I do the same with the Apple client ICAL, Dagent and MTA are not writing anything to their logs while I answer to invitations. I still think it has to be a configuration issue on the Mac. But there isnt much to configure, as mailclient and calendar both are configured und “working”.
“sadly” its the only Apple client in this house =)

On an up to date system this is for me working as expected. I compose a message with webapp, add me to the to and seven other users in cc. send the message and all seven recipients have the message.

Generally this is an indicator that you are either missing tuning of the mysql database (see https://documentation.kopano.io/kopanocore_administrator_manual/performance_tuning.html) or your hardware is simply too slow for your users load.

as far as I know there aren’t any. If you want to sync emails only, I guess there are some email clients which allow to configure an IMAP account and use kopano-gateway.

This is not an uncommon issue. Neither your network, nor the Outlook is to be blamed for the same. Mail programs tend to create partial cache of the emails, especially the attachments. I reconfirmed to switch my internet off and my attachments were actually missing.

Zarafa had only a very alpha implementation of EWS, which could not be taken over because of licensing issues. Were you using that? I’m not sure what “Exchange DAV” is in this context, is it normal WebDAV/CalDAV?

CalDAV is supported by Kopano as well. Maybe they use a specific url schema that does not match the url schema used by kopano-icl? If so then its likely possible to rewrite the url in the Webserver (e.g. with mod_rewrite and mod_proxy in Apache).

Thx a lot for all answers, but in our case re-installing (de-install, reboot, install) MAPI client (latest zarafaclient-7.2.6-52189) fixes this issue. At least for now, we will see after any further outlook updates …
