      The status is that all is in good order in the source codes as of Feb 1 2020, corresponding to v9.0.3 and v10.0.1.

      we have an Samba 4 setup (Debian 9) for 300+ users as user backend for Kopano. This setup works perfect.

      Hi,
      as far as I know Kopano uses LDAP for authentication only, the contacts are available via Carddav protocol. I guess you would need a middleware to sync the contacts from the Kopano Carddav to your LDAP server.

      OK, link shows this has not been fixed before the previous week. That explains why I still got the error.
      As a side node : core-10.0.1.156.4921920-RHEL_7_PHP_71-x86_64 misses a bunch of RPMs that are to be found in core-10.0.1.156.6fbe301-RHEL_7_EPEL_7-x86_64. Not sure this is normal and needs to be repaired. I had to install with a mix of RPMs coming out of both versions.

      Hi,

      I just tried out.

      When I run “kopano-stats --top” I realize following:

      the column APP shows for most of our users OUTLOOK.EXE// but they are not using Outlook. This seems to be a wrong detection? you can only see as much lines as the height of your display permits. All other below are cut and not shown. Sorting with a-h does not help either.

      ==> this command seems not helpful for this task.

      By using “kopano-stats --session --dump” I get a quite helpful output. I modified the command and ended up into:

      kopano-stats --session --dump | grep -v SYSTEM |awk -F';' '!a[$7]++ {if (NR!=1) print $7}' |sort -u |uniq |tee >(wc -l)

      which will output all currently logged in users and outputs also the number of total users at the end of the output (just 4 ensuring the output is correct)

      Going further, I modified this one-liner and I run the command each 5min on my Kopano-server by a cron job.

      $ crontab -l */5 * * * * /usr/local/bin/kopano-getUserSessions.sh

      It will get the total numbers of Kopano user sessions and write them into a logfile.

      $ cat /usr/local/bin/kopano-getUserSessions.sh #!/bin/bash out=/var/log/kopano/minmax-users.log kopano-stats --session --dump | grep -v SYSTEM |awk -F';' '!a[$7]++ {if (NR!=1) print $7}' |sort -u |uniq |wc -l >>$out

      The following perl program does read all the lines of the previous mentioned log file and output the min/max values.

      $ cat /usr/local/bin/kopano-MinMaxUsers.pl #!/usr/bin/perl $min = 999; $max = 0; while (<>) { $max = $_ if ($_ > $max); $min = $_ if ($_ < $min); } print "Kopano user sessions:\n=====================\nMIN=$min\nMAX=$max";

      Whenever I want to read the min/max values of this log file I just execute this command

      kopano-MinMaxUsers.pl /var/log/kopano/minmax-users.log

      and the output is something like:

      Kopano user sessions: ===================== MIN=18 MAX=62

      Thank you all.

      Hi @jasonsmith2020,

      Outlook over ActiveSync doesn’t put email into outbox. It issues SendMail command and Z-Push then creates a message in the outbox, that’s why you see it in webapp/deskapp. Z-Push ignores changes in the outbox because it caused strange effects on some android devices: https://jira.z-hub.io/browse/ZP-362.

      You are manually ignoring dependencies. I see no Kopano problem here.

      does it mean that sending email from the phone works now?

      kopano-backup --index /pathtobackupdata/user > user.csv

      Hi Christian and many thanks for the explanation and command examples. I just checked it on site2 with your suggested command. Then I compared to the error lines I received while the restore task.

      Well, some of those “…duplicate item skipping…” ids are:

      messages from postfix notification (clamav) with subject = “UNCHECKED contents in mail FROM LOCAL [127.0.0.1]:43022 <some.user@example.tld”

      messages from postfix notification (clamav) with subject = "VIRUS (Doc.Dropper.Agent-5932512-0) in mail FROM LOCAL [127.0.0.1]:48061 info@example.tld

      messages from pflogsumm (a postfix reporting tool executed on daily basis) with subject = “Cron root@myhost /usr/sbin/pflogsumm -d yesterday /var/log/mail.log --problems-first --rej-add-from --verbose-msg-detail -q”

      but also tons of ordinary messages which I see in the restored mailbox on siteB although the error was shown. I did make some tests on about 5 of those messages. They are all on hostB.

      as long as there are only a few megabytes missing, I’m feeling good :-)
