Now I managed to get it run. I did a misstake on the CSR (Certificate Signing Request). The CN should be the hostname (or DNS) of the LDAP Server. I already imported my root Certificate with this command:

sudo cp /tmp/myCA.crt /usr/local/share/ca-certificates/ sudo update-ca-certificates

To reply to my own question: Yes, the backend kopano does sync calendar and contacts.
Everything is working now since I have Z-Push running on a different VM. Thanks!

well thank you for the input.
I will keep in mind for future projects.
in my case the machine was historically (beginning from zarafa) set up with the use of /home to let large amounts of data outsourced on an seperate partition for a service to run in a “bubble” and to keep the files out of default system paths.
Since the filese are locked in run_as environments i thougt that wa a good design. Also when space is eaten up and you need to enlarge the hdd in a vm for example… so all was done in good intension so to speak.

Well… lessons learned for me :D

Thanks Christian for your help. I had to workaround an issue with postfix and saslauthd that lead to impossibility to login via SMTP. I have described this on UCS forum. BTW, I really had to authenticate with primary email address. So, thank you again! :)

Should do the trick for SSL connection, not “modern” TLS I guess.

I am new to this community. Because I want to use kopano for a customer of mine, some fixes are needed to be made.
This problem was one of them :)

I created a patch which fixes this issue with kopano-spamd not beeing able to learn spam-flagged emails as ham (and then as spam again).
I already sent the patch to contributing@kopano.io in hope they will merge it.

But anyhow - here is the patch in case anyone wants to test it now for themselfes:

With this patch, kopano-spamd is able to keep track of incoming emails which are flagged as spam.
It will then mark the message in the internal db as “was spam” and at this point the message behaves as you would expect it from the user pov.
You then can move the message to the inbox, which will trigger the ham-learning. You can also move the message to the spam folder again to trigger spam-learning in case the user moved a wrong message to the inbox.

so far the steps given here did not lead to a successful reproduction of the issue on our end.

Edit: I think I made that statement here before. But if you have a Kopano subscription and are experiencing this with our supported packages please reach out to our support so that we could have a direct look on your system. As far as I know there is not a single customer who has reported these kind of issues to our support.
