I think s/mime plugin has a makefile, but Files does not. Most of the plugins do not (yet) have a makefile

      Hi @oxygene,

most users actually use Kopano through Kopano WebApp, which has support for labels/categories.

If you want to submit a patch to add this functionality to kopano-gateway we will be glad to review it for you.

Okay, looks like I managed to get Kopano 10.0.6.502 working in my “productive” setup (i.e. for me and my family).

Next step is to get a subscription, once the upgrade (or better downgrade) path from Kopano Core 10.0 to Kopano One is clear.

yes, indeed it would run on the same hardaware.

But… I am in the middle of moving hardware, so I would like to do a bit at the time.

I.e. first migrate the database, then migrate a chunk at the time, so that I don’t break too many things at once.

I am not exactly sure which cases can lead to the above error. Have you adapted the search term to your ldap tree. Do you have ldap at all? Can the credentials that you are using for postfix bind to the tree and search it?

@fanpero said in Emails stay on Outbox:

      smtp_server = 45.62.203.208

you should really use a local mta here. connections from kopano-spooler to the mta are unathenticated.

@fanpero said in Emails stay on Outbox:

      Starting kopano-spooler version 8.7.0

these seem to be the packages that are included in Debian 10. These are already quite old and there are some known issues with them. I would recommend to request a trial subscription from Kopano sales and rather test with the our supported packages instead.

After migrating over 100 mailboxes from Gmail/Gsuite - we have found the following arguments to the kopano-migration-imap work quite well:

      kopano-migration-imap --nomodulesversion \ --logfile user@email.com.log \ --pidfile /tmp/user@email.com.pid \ --tmpdir /migrate-cache/user@email.com \ --automap \ --ssl1 \ --timeout1 120 \ --host1 imap.gmail.com \ --timeout2 120 \ --host2 localhost \ --port2 993 \ --ssl2 \ --disarmreadreceipts \ --folderlast INBOX \ --folderlast '[Gmail]/Important' \ --folderlast '[Gmail]/All Mail' \ --skipcrossduplicates \ --useheader=X-Gmail-Received \ --useheader Message-Id \ --exclude '[Gmail]$' \ --exclude 'All Mail' \ --exclude Junk \ --exclude Bin \ --exclude Spam \ --exclude 'Deleted Items' \ --exclude 'Deleted Messages' \ --exclude Trash \ --user1 user@email.com \ --password1 password \ --user2 username \ --password2 password

Simple change the user1 to the gmail imap account and set password1 to the gmail password. User2 would be your kopano account and password2 would be kopano pasword unless you are using the feature to bypass requiring a password for the gateway. I hope this helps!

FWIW this is actually a rebranded/older version of imapsync - there is a great FAQ available on Gmail and Imapsync here https://github.com/imapsync/imapsync/blob/master/FAQ.d/FAQ.Gmail.txt

      Hi @Beleggrodion,

@Beleggrodion said in Search Index State?:

Is their possible to check to see the current state of the search index?

      no, that is not possible.

But in this context its good to know that the indexed search will remain dormant until kopano-search has finished its first index (the search socket will only be created once indexing has completed) and until that point kopano-server will perform a direct (and slower) database search.

all that the posted command does is add permissions to the mailbox. You still need to open it in WebApp afterwards.

      Hi @fanpero,

I think this is a key sentence here:

@fanpero said in Install Kopano Core issue Debian 10:

Because I do not have a license key. I don’t know if without this file I cannot use this tool.

You can only configure and use the private repositories of our stable releases with a valid subscription, and since you do not have this trying to install packages from there will not work (an apt update should already exit with a failure and tell you as much).

So instead of installing our packages you actually installed the packages from the Debian repository (Where kopano-server-packages does not exist, and based on your other postings the same seems to be the case for kopano-webapp).

Instead of having the comfort of a package repository, when you do not have a subscription key you have to download the archives of the desired nightly to your server and then either install the packages with dpkg -i or create a local repository out of these.

@fanpero said in Test Email Server:

and now I want to know how can I test the Email server?

The simplest test would be to send a mail using webapp and receive it back to the same account.
