The issues we have are pretty wide ranging and mostly small. And since they are small, we are reluctant to go to the extreme measure of a new account. (which we only do if no other solution could be found)

This will be a nice addition to the troubleshooting toolkit.

You are right, on SLES 12 SP1 the directory permissions are incorrect:

drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 60 May 17 19:56 mysql/

As example Debian 7:

drwxr-xr-x 2 mysql root 80 May 9 14:43 mysqld/

This are the propper permissions.

The schema has a new OID and new names, but other than that is semantically identical, so just editing /etc/kopano to point to the zarafa* attributes should do as a short measure.

So I’m going to answer my own question here…

I did a sandboxed upgrade (which went perfectly smoothly!) and I found that the new gateway didn’t work with the new core server either!

I then tried a different client and it worked immediately, so looks like I have a boggy client???

The language is defined in the createuser scripts in /etc/kopano/userscripts/createuser.d

This does not always work, depending on your server version/configuration.

Depends on the settings ‘#innodb_file_per_table’ as well.

When using KOE you could open another calendar easily in Outlook.
You could also setup the calendar of your wife via the static folder configuration, just give yourself read only permissions to the calendar and Z-Push will ensure your changes are not saved.

Without KOE you could also use the webservices to open that shared calendar. But you need to play around with it a little bit.

grep server_socket *.cfg reveals all the parts that could connect to the server, and can do so either over 236, 237, or, if local, the unix pipe.
