Double bookings reservations of rooms

Despite we have a mailbox configured as :

Auto-accept meeting req:yes
Decline dbl meetingreq:	yes
Decline recur meet.req:	no

People are able to double book (even in de through the web client).
Someone had a recuring meeting, and others can schedule a meeting (adjust its time)
And then although the web says “One or more attendees are bussy. Are you sure to invite?”,
(the room is bussy) one can click yes and its booked double.

Its less obvious when one invites a lot of people, and you might not check that its the room itself who is bussy. I believe if one sets it do Decline dbl meeting request, its should not be ignorable in case of the room itself.

How to solve this ?
Can something monitoring this process be restarted ?

Hi @handyman,

the expected behaviour in this case would be that the resource itself declines any additional bookings. If it is meeting request booking you cannot really prevent people from just ignoring the “not all participants are available” popup.

I think something similar was reported here on the forum a while ago already. Which version are you using?

We’re using :
WebApp: 3.5.14.2539+111.1
Kopano Core: 8.7.12

On the web, where i have opened the shared meeting room calendar.
Its shown as two appointments next to each other.
Is there no way to forbid it then ?, after all there is this command which we used for it:

kopano-admin -u <resource name> --mr-decline-conflict yes

Those versions are already quite old. 8.7.22 is the latest Core and 5.1.0 the latest WebApp.

Like I said the expected behaviour would be that the resource declines the conflicting appointment (meaning there would be no second entry in the calendar). For direct booking this means that the organisator gets a popup when saving the entry, for meeting request booking the organisator would get a mail notification after sending out the invite.

Yepp, I remember =)

Recurring events are not working as expected. You have to tell the resource to decline them or double booking is possible. In third party clients like Outlook you won’t even notice that its double booked.
Im on 8.7.22 and tested it 5min ago.
