      Hi all,

I am on Ubuntu 18.04 with kopanocore version 8.7.20, webapp version 5.1.0 and files plugin version 4.0.1 and filesbackendOwncloud and filesbackendSMB on version 4.0.0.
I have added an SMB share and a nextCloud and see all my files and folders in both accounts. So far so good. But when I add Files or Folders via fileserver itself or the nextcloud webinterface (besides of kopano), i cannot see the new files and Folders. I did try to do a refresh via the button in webapp, but all the files and folders stay in the state when i added the account to files plugin.

I cannot see any errormessages in the logfiles even if i change kopano webapp config.php from e_error to e_all.

Which further information can i provide to help solve the problem.

        Hi @emtie,

yes that is a bit of an architecture issue with the files plugin. It caches the whole tree of any added backend, but misses a way to invalidate this cache in case there was a change outside of Kopano. This has also been discussed in the past here on the forum, but I cannot find that topic either doing a quick search for it.

@emtie said in Webapp Files not updating Folders and Files:

I did try to do a refresh via the button in webapp, but all the files and folders stay in the state when i added the account to files plugin.

For this to actually refresh you need to right click on the backend and select “refresh” from there, the refresh button next to the contact folder does not lead to the desired effect.

        Regards Felix

          Hi Felix,

thanks for your quick answer. Did not knew that button. Found it and it works. Not the most intuitive solution but solves the issue for me. So thank you very much and keep going with kopano I really like working with the whole stack :-)
