How can I report a packaging issue with Kopano Groupware Core?
-
I’ve just reported one with z-push and now I am locked to z-push in jira?
The issue is that nowhere in the 8.7.20 suite for el7 is there a requirement for php. This is a basic requirement and manifests itself as the Webapp just showing raw php code rather than a pretty web page.
In the past, z-push-common used to require php but this requirement has been dropped (or changed to php(language)) so php does not get installed.
Since both are written in php I find it a strange omission.

Hi @nickh,
technically its more related to Kopano WebApp, therefore I have moved your question over into the WebApp section.
My question would be similar to the one I raised in https://forum.kopano.io/post/20025. Which exact version are you currently using and which repo did you configure for it?
But back to the main question:
How can I report a packaging issue with Kopano Groupware Core?
If you have a Kopano subscription its always worthwhile opening up a ticket with the Kopano support for any issues or bugs you have encountered. Opening up a ticket ensures that problems that are affecting customers get properly prioritised.
If you do not have a subscription and think you have encountered something security related, then you could report this at https://kopano.com/security/. For everything else this forum is the best platform.
If you do not have a valid subscriptio

I do have a subscription as I am the maintainer for our distro (ClearOS). I raised the issue on Friday and I am waiting for an answer.
I am using Kopano 8.7.20, webapp-3.5.14 and z-push-common 2.6.2 from the new kopano repo as I have mentioned in the other post.
What surprised me is that I could raise issues for z-push at jira.kopano.io this morning (https://jira.kopano.io/browse/ZP-1627 and z-push-common has lost its requires of php) but I could not select the Kopano Core app to raise an issue against it, only z-push.

Yes, that is expected. We do not allow externals to create issues directly. Each interaction either goes through our support (as already recommended) or this fourm.

Then it would be nice if support responded …

@nickh monday was a public holiday here, I am sure they will get back to you soon.

It looks like they will fix the issue in z-push but only 2.6.4 as 2.6.3 is already in testing.
It does not look like they have taken onboard that there is also an issue with Webapp where it has never been specified.
