Signature can't be used as text blocks anymore
-
I have updated kopano-webapp (4.7.0.0+157.1, 5.0.1.0+166.1) on debian. Since then signatures can’t be used as text blocks anymore. When I compose a new mail, where a signature is set automaticly, and want to add a signature, its text replaces the signature which has been set before. In the older version of webapp a signature was added as an additional text block only. The user had to pay attention that the old signature was removed.
In absence of a function for text modules we are working with signatures in exactly this way.Is it possible to bring back this old behaviour?

Btw, there is a thread from last year’s Octobre that wishes the behaviour of signatures exactly the way it is done now with this latest update.

You’re using signature functionality in a non-designed way, so no.
You can try the following:
- Add your signature inside the text module
or never say never:
- Contact Kopano support for options for a setting OR request a the proper way to insert text blocks.

Obviously you are right and we are using signatures in a non-designed way.
Inserting the signature inside the written text won’t work, because always it is placed below the text. It doesn’t depend on the location where the cursor is placed.
But I will ask for this as a feature request and meanwhile I will use drafts or notes and copy and paste to bypass this behaviour.
