      Dear Community,

      We are running WebApp: 4.7.0.0+157.1 with Kopano Core: 8.7.19 and unfortunately are not able to send emails to recipients with German Umlauts (ä,ö,ü) in their addresses.

      It surely is debatable how clever it is to have email addresses with umlauts, but this is out of our control.

      Is there anything we can do to persuade Kopano to send to such an address?

      Thank you in advance and have a great Easter weekend!

      Regards

      AKleine

        Hi @akleine,

        you should be able to write the domain as punycode into the recipient field. See https://www.punycoder.com/ for a tool that can be used for this/

        So müller-bäder.de turns into xn--mller-bder-w5a5z.de.

        Regards Felix

          @fbartels Dear Felix,
          Thank you for your quick reply, I will tell my colleagues about it.

          Do you think it would it be possible for a future version of Kopano to integrate this punycode conversion into the WebApp?

            @akleine there is https://jira.kopano.io/browse/KW-1031 for this, but as far as I understood it is currently blocked by the fact that we still need to support php5 for some distributions.

            Regards Felix
