small problems with delimiters and aliases
-
Hi guys,
has anyone of you encountered a problem like this :
kopano user: haus
kopano aliases: das-haus
domain: mail.netpostfix delimiters :+ -
sending to
haus@mail.net
works
sending tohaus-*
/haus+*
@mail.net
works
sending todas-haus@mail.net
doesnt work.
psotfix cuts the reciepient addr to das@mail.net which is not availablehow can i tell postfix that it should check if das-haus is an alias for haus
and then checks if there are some delimiters needed to get utilized ?so FIRST check alias of kopano
THEN go thru delimitersthx in advance

Hi @emstersj,
I don’t think what you are looking for is possible with Postfix. Since this is completely unrelated to Kopano, maybe the Postfix mailinglist has a better idea for you.

Hi Felix,
i think i have found somtehing:
delimiter LMTP - stackexchangei totally got the point with telling dovecot the same as postfix,
so… where so i tell this kopano ?thx mate

@emstersj you can’t, but the way you have described it it sounds like the error is already in your Postfix setup.
The kopano-dagent can accept mails with either the username as a reference or the primary email address. Resolving all aliases or delimiters already needs to be done in your mta.

ha, found it : ) thx

@emstersj and what was the solution?

adding ldap capabilities to my postfix server.
then adding lookup in ldap for users and aliasesnow things work mostly as expected
usermail chief@mail.net OK
alias master-chief@mail.net OK
even with additional regex für + - delimiters like master-chief-justice@mail.net all OK
