      Hi guys,

has anyone of you encountered a problem like this :

      kopano user: haus
      kopano aliases: das-haus
      domain: mail.net

      postfix delimiters :+ -

      sending to haus@mail.net works
      sending to haus-* / haus+* @mail.net works
      sending to das-haus@mail.net doesnt work.
psotfix cuts the reciepient addr to das@mail.net which is not available

how can i tell postfix that it should check if das-haus is an alias for haus
and then checks if there are some delimiters needed to get utilized ?

so FIRST check alias of kopano
      THEN go thru delimiters

      thx in advance

        Hi @emstersj,

I don’t think what you are looking for is possible with Postfix. Since this is completely unrelated to Kopano, maybe the Postfix mailinglist has a better idea for you.

@emstersj you can’t, but the way you have described it it sounds like the error is already in your Postfix setup.

The kopano-dagent can accept mails with either the username as a reference or the primary email address. Resolving all aliases or delimiters already needs to be done in your mta.

            Regards Felix

                  @fbartels

adding ldap capabilities to my postfix server.
then adding lookup in ldap for users and aliases

now things work mostly as expected

                  usermail chief@mail.net OK
                  alias master-chief@mail.net OK
even with additional regex für + - delimiters like master-chief-justice@mail.net all OK
