      Hi all.

One of my users encounters a strange phenomenon with KC, using Zarafa Client and KOE at the same time on two computers (PC + Laptop) to connect to two different mail servers.

Both computers are attached to my own Kopano installation via Zarafa Client, and both have a ActiveSync/KOE connection to an outside installation. Both computers have the KOE mailbox marked as Favorite.

Fore some reason, the Favorite for the KOE is lost on one or the other computer. I think - but cant prove it yet - whenever outlook is opened on one computer, the favorite on the other computer gets lost.

I thought the favorites should be stored locally on each computer, but is this correct? It’s clear that the Zarafa-client powered mailbox is identical on both systems, but the KOE mailbox should be completely independed.

I’m confused. Can somebody give an advice?

      Thank you!

        Hi @itserv,

it’s possible that the Zarafa Client and KOE somehow interfere in each other’s functionality causing this issue. Did the user check windows event log for this? Does he have one profile with multiple mailboxes or does he have multiple profiles?

I’m sorry, but as a Unix guy, I have little to no experience reading Windows logs.

Can you give me a hint in wich event log to look for what?

          Thank you!

            Hi @itserv,

open “Event Viever” (just start typing it in the “search programs and files” field after clicking on Windows/Start icon and it should appear as a suggestion), expand “Applications and Service Logs” -> “Microsoft Office Alerts” and look for errors/warnings in the list.

Thank you. I will do so. A new Outlook 365 Click-and-Run update was released, so I’ll check this first and do some further tests.

If nothing helps, I’ll have to invest my support units. If the zarafa-client is still supported …

Hmmm. The problem seems to be gone with the latest Outlook 365 version. I assume the two affected computers did not have the same OL version, but I don’t know …
