Outlook doesn't show mail items

Zarafa 22.214.171.124-3.1 (on UCS) with z-push 2.2.10 and Outlook 2019 via ActiveSync.
A user has the problem with Outlook that e-mail folders which he created in Outlook manually aren’t synchronized with his mailbox in Zarafa. The result is that many e-mails that he moved to these folders are missing in his mailbox in Zarafa.
To solve this issue first I created a PST file backup of the OL2019 profile. Then I created a new Zarafa account and configured it with ActiveSync in OL2019. At last I restored the PST backup to this new OL profile. But it failed and no e-mail was restored by this procedure. (The error message of OL was quite meaningless, but I can’t remember the text.)
So I tried a different approach. I created a new Zarafa account and configured it in an older OL2013. However in this case I don’t use ActiveSync but the deprecated Zarafa Outlook Client 126.96.36.199190. With this configuration the restore of the PST file succeeded. Zarafa’s webapp and mobile mail client via ActiveSync shows each e-mail and even the folders which were missing.
Unfortunately now the Outlook profile doesn’t show any e-mail or calendar item which has been restored. Each folder which resulted from the restore is shown, but without any e-mails in it. Only new e-mails which are received after the restore are shown. This applies to OL2013/2019 profiles which use ActiveSync.
Does anybody has an idea how to get OL work with Zarafa?
Z-Push 2.2.10 is a really old version and has reached end of life. We have made a lot of improvements since then, also for Z-Push sync with Outlook over ActiveSync. Please upgrade to the latest Z-Push version and make sure you also read the upgrade procedure notes. You’ll probably need to create a new Outlook profile after upgrading.
