PHP error since update to current WebApp 3.5.14

  • Hi there,

since updating to WebApp 3.5.14 I receive PHP errors in my apache2 error.log every five minutes for a user using DeskApp under Windows 10. Following errors are logged:

    error.log:

[Thu Dec 05 09:55:00.012598 2019] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 21754:tid 140700645586688] [client x.x.x.x:49301] AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Fatal error: kc_session_restore(): kc_session_restore() expects parameter 1 to be string, but something else was given in /usr/share/kopano-webapp/server/includes/core/class.webappauthentication.php on line 216\n'

    access.log:

    x.x.x.x - - [05/Dec/2019:09:55:00 +0100] "GET /webapp/kopano.php?ping HTTP/1.1" 500 707 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.140 Safari/537.36"

DeskApp is updated to the latest version (2.4.1). It seems that only this user is affected but there are only two using DeskApp at all (one on Windows, one on Linux, the latter not provoking the error).

Interestingly it happens every 5 minutes and exactly at times of the hour 00, 05, 10 and so on.

Kopano Core is 8.7.7 on Ubuntu 18.04.3.

  • Ok, another user was unable to distinguish between DeskApp and WebApp and even did not notice DeskApp reported to have lost connection to the server. Restart of DeskApp solved this. So please disregard my first post.
