Outlook 2016 / Z-Push 2.5.0 / Calendar entrys missing
-
I can successfully connect my mobile phone and the Windows 10 build-in mail client and calendar via Z-Push to my server. I see all calendars and its entry’s. However, if i connect Outlook 2016 with the same credentials and the same server, i only get Mailfolders and mails, Contacts and the name of the 3 calendars. But when i check the calendar, it’s empty. No calendar entry’s are visible. Z-Push uses BackendCombined with IMAP and CalDAV/CardDAV. I cant see any problems in the logfiles. Are there some way to request the calendars separate from the rest again, eg. refresh?

It seems that now the first entrys are coming in, but it takes a really long time. Ages longer as with mobile phone or Windows 10 client. All other informations are completed (Mails, Contact’s). Maybe I must wait longer.
BTW: is it correct that Outlook do not make use of Push and instead using some scheduling when I use EAS?

could it be that Z-Push is then busy with executing loop detection on your calendar?

No, push works for me just fine.

Hmm could be the case, but i wonder why this should happen, since mobiles and Windows 10 Client doesn’t produce loop detection messages. I will investigate further today in the evening, when i’m at home.
Regarding Push: so this means, Z-Push checks by interval (x seconds) for new messages via IMAP (BackendIMAP) and if a change is detected, it reports this (push) immediately to Outlook 2016 and the Outlook setting for Mailchecking is not in effect?

I cannot say how exactly it works with the imap backend, but for the Kopano backend I get new messages delivered via push and do not need to pull.
