Unable to export mail



  • If i make a right click to a mail to make an export, i get the following error message [0_1548191905068_error.PNG] : “Unknown MAPI Error: MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED” in my Webapp + Deskapp.

    Not every mail isn’t able to be exported. Some mails are working. Every mail wo doesn’t work contains an “Reply-To:” entry in the header.
    In my gateway log, there are no entries at the time i try to export. The last entrys are some hours ago.

    2nd failure:
    If i activate IMAP/POP at this mailbox i get mails until some specific date. But new folders or mails are missing. I’ve tried thunderbird.

    additionally some more information will be helpful. like the version of kopano core and webapp you are running. the os. in case of kopano-gateway logging from the server.

    If i load my mails with imap, i get the following error code many times in my gateway log:

    this is a known effect in the UCS version, which can be fixed by upgrading the app from our package repositories. The update procedure is explained at https://kopano.com/blog/staying-up-to-date-with-kopano-releases-on-ucs/

    The package repositories are only available for customers with a valid subscription, while you do not yet have a subscription you can get a trial subscription by requesting a download from https://kopano.com/kopano-trial-download/ (after the trial has expired you automatically switch back to the packages provided through appcenter updates).

    Hi, tried this using a trial key, but with no success.
    Still having issues, using some IMAP client, in my case with the SPARK mobile app.

    @jasgggit if you are using a trial key, then your Kopano version is likely not 8.6.8.2 anymore. But that is besides the point, since you seem to focus not on the original WebApp issue, but on the IMAP client.

    For IMAP the fact counts (as I replied to you in your other post) that you need 8.7.0.

    As explained in https://kopano.com/blog/staying-up-to-date-with-kopano-releases-on-ucs we cannot upload all our releases to the ucs appcenter, since an app uploaded to the appcenter is always available to all ucs users.

    If you have a subscription, then you can enable our “final” repository from the appcenter settings (this is also explained in the above log). at this point in time our 8.7 release is not in the final repo, but in a dedicated subdir. To add this repo you can execute the following command on your ucs system:

    echo "deb https://$(ucr get kopano/repo/username):$(ucr get kopano/repo/password)@download.kopano.io/supported/core:/8.7/Univention_4.3/ /" >> /etc/apt/sources.list

    @jasgggit both ucs 4.3 and 4.4 share the same Debian base. I have discussed this already a few times and even got confirmation from the Univention developers that its safe to use the same packages for both releases.

    PS: why the surplus of question marks?

    HI, and again thank you for your quick reply.
    I’ve requested the trial key on 18/4 , but I used a different email address from the one I’ve installed the UCS system, although on same domain. Could it be that ?

    No, the email address should be irrelevant here. I’d suggest to send a short mail to our sales team to check your trial license. You should have received some follow up mails to which you can just reply, ir you could send it to info at kopano dot com.

  • @fbartels , I managed to contact Kopano support and them sorted out the issue with the trial key.

    So, I upgraded the Kopano-core to 8.7 version, and now … well for now the kopano-gateway is not working …

    BTW, I upgraded it using the ‘univention-upgrade’ command.
