WebApp "upcoming appointments" widget is empty

Hello community,
The widget upcoming appointments is empty. No future appointments will be displayed even though the calendar is full.
Any idea?

Add widget “upcoming appointments” on today view. Widget ist empty.

The widget shows items from your own default calendar.
Are the appointments in the default calendar?

How can I add the widget upcoming events?
I seem to only be able to add “today’s events”
(translating from the German version of the app, so I’m not sure if it’s actually called that)

It’s the same.
Name was changed in https://jira.kopano.io/browse/KW-2535
so I’m guessing you run a very old WebApp.
