    Search with Outlook 2007 not working after migration

      On weekend I have migrate from Zarafa 7.1 to kopano-core=8.1.1.10-8.1-2 (on UCS 4.1-4) via kopano-Backup commandline.

      Now the users want to use the mail-search in Outlook. The didn´t find anymore the needed mails. Some examples:

      The search for Bill-Number (“1256799”) in Subject line: No response.
      The search for Names like “Meier” didnot find. But when it use “Mei” then find it

      What can I do? Can I recreate the Index?

        Hello @MyKey0815 ,

        Multiple questions come to my mind:

        • Which version of the Mapi client? Online or cached?
        • did you create a new profile?
        • did the server already finish indexing?
        • are different results displayed in the Webapp?

        You can reindex a single user by calling ‘kopano-search’ with the reindex option. Or you can delete the whole index by just stopping search, deleting the index and restarting it. But i must say that this will probably not give different results (if the server already finished indexing).

          Thanks for the info. Here my reply:

          Mapi-Client: 7.2.4 - All clients are online-connected. No user is using the cached option. The Mapi client was updated from 7.1 to 7.2

          Recreate Profile: No - i install the Mapi and change only the new server ip in options

          How can i find out, if the server is ready with indexing?

          I will tomorow ask for a search string that not found and will try to search it in WebApp

            @MyKey0815 the server itself actually should print messages, about not being able to connect to the search socket (since this is only create once indexing is complete). In the search.log you should see plenty of messages about indexing stuff.
