Conversation view not working on bb10 devices
-
Latest Z-Push (2.4), Kopano Server, No conversation view on bb10 devices. The feature works on ios devices though. The bb10 users want the conversation view to work… Conversation view works with other ActiveSync providers such as Outlook.com accounts. So its a z-push or kopano issue. Please help!

Anybody has any clue on how to solve this issue? Maybe a configuration change? Why won’t the client recognize the conversations? The backend is Kopano. Sync works fine just the conversation view is the one that won’t work.

I am not familiar with exactly how conversation view works, but isn’t this something that is coded in the email client as opposed to the z-push protocol? In which case this is a question for BB10 as opposed to z-push?

It appears that the active sync server sends an conversation ID to the client and the client then is able to sort the emails by conversation or thread. The bb10 client works in conversation mode with outlook. com and Kerio connect very well. So its not a client issue.
The problem is that we are leaving Kerio Connect for Kopano. I am facing a user’s revolt because they love their bb10s with conversation mode working. It really does make handling email a lot easier. I can’t blame them but the decision to switch to Kopano and Z-Push has already been made. I am hoping to if someone can help me “patch” z-push in order to get conversation mode working.

I use Nine (for Android) and it does handle conversation mode correctly, although I did switch it off (intentionally). Nine is actually a great program, I wonder whether that’s available for BB10?

I would then suggest to get in contact with our support so this can be prioritized for you.

Nine is not available for bb10. I will open a ticket with Kopano and see if they can sort this out.
