I’m missing some basic functions in Kopano that even an Outlook 2010 already had. You can create a new rule in Outlook by simply clicking on an email and creating a new rule with the sender of this message. In Kopano I have to put the sender into the clipboard or enter it manually and I have to take the detour via “Settings, Rule, new”.

In the filters there are no possibilities to include the header as a criterion. And it is not possible to automatically mark a message as read during the actions.

And you can’t apply a rule to messages you received before you created the rule.

These are all quite simple functions that have made my daily life a lot easier and which I miss now. Are such functions already being worked on? Where can I go specifically to get these wishes fulfilled?

        Hi bitboy0,

i think this whole “click on message and create filter from it” thing would be great.
In regards of filter and header. Maybe i’m missing what you try to achive but you can use the filter “include these words in transport-header”

I have no such field to choose from.

          I can choose from:
          is recieved from
includes these words in senders addresse
include these words in the subject
include this words in the body
          has importance
          has an attachment
          is sent to
          is sent only to me
hase name in the Cc field
has my name in the To or Cc field
          has sensitivity
          is recieved after
          is recieved before
has my name in the To field
          is recieved (all messages)

and thats all. No “transport-header” to selct.

This feature is part of Kopano-Webapp since version 3.4.7.

            Maybe you have to upgrade…

Is the upgrade in the final branch? I did all updates in the final.

                With final-branch, you’re refering to the community-or the commercial-builds?
                A version-number would be helpful.

                  I think I found a clue.

I am using UCS 4.3 and there is officially no update to the purchased new version of the webapp.

                    I’m stuck here at 3.4.2.1108+36.1.
I installed the system a few weeks ago using UCS- 4.3 and installed Kopano in the Appstore. But for Kopano from the Appstore of UCS 4.3, which is not so new any more, there are apparently no updates at the moment.

And I now know that Kopano has already solved many of the problems I have noticed here in recent time. It would be all right if I could be a part of it.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded the package with wget.

I’m sorry if I have to come out now as a Linux beginner. I’m not sure how to proceed so as not to interfere with the mechanism that normally automatically updates packages…

Do I have to uninstall the old webapp first?
In which directory do I have to unpack the package?
How do I explain to the system that I am now manually using a different version than the one normally included in “final”?
How do I get future updates for this package?

This is no longer a test system, but productive. I cannot afford to bring something into an inconsistent state and need more precise instructions.

Please wait a few days, I’ve submitted an app update to Univention today. After updating the app there will also again be the possibility to upgrade through our repositories.

That sounds really good. Waiting a few days won’t kill anyone in our company and won’t be asking too much of me;) A real win-win situation.

                            Thank you very much!

                              Many UCS updates came yesterday.
But if I see it right, it’s not for Kopano yet.

                              When can I expect it?

                              WebApp: 3.4.2.1108+36.1
                              Kopano Core: 8.5.9
                              Z-Push: 2.3.8+0-0

If I would have a concrete eta, I wouldn’t have writting “a few days”. Its on the test appcenter, everything is out of my control.

@fbartels OK, thanks. So it’s up to univention now. If there’s nothing there next week, I’ll check with them.
Only when I have the current status, I can see where still problems and desires are open.
