      Hi,

I’ve a short question about using some imap/pop3 clients with kopano,
If using Imap client (e.g. Opera Mail, Thunderbird), I’ve to set SMTP as outgoing serve, in my case it’s postfix with univention, is there a differnet way or something i’ve to configure in postfix so that sent items will be saved to kopano db ?

        Hi @externa1 ,

when using an smtp/imap client its the responsibility of the client to place a sent message into the “sent items”. This is different to how our other clients (e.g. WebApp and Z-Push) manage it since here the message is passed to the kopano-spooler and this is the one that ultimately puts the message into the sent items.

With the 8.5 release we implemented support for https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6154 in kopano-dagent, which means that newly setup clients (as long as the support rfc 6154) will automatically use the same “sent items” folder that the other Kopano clients use. Prior to that it was the responsibility of the client to select the correct folder.

        Regards Felix

Ups ok - didn’t know this - so the imap client puts the sent and deleted messages in the correct folder and this is done on the server too not only local as i thought

          So it’s ok thanks
