entering String in address field 'To:'
-
Hi community,
when I enter a string in the address field to:, I expect that Kopano Webapp lists contacts which contain the string within the name or the email address. The result should come from the user’s contact folders or the global address list. But for me and many users this list isn’t correct. Contacts are missing. Instead, when I click on the button to: and open the address book, the search for this string shows the wished result. What do I misunderstand here?

Hello Peter,
in the input field the addresses are listed to which you have already written.
There was a script that exported the address book and made it available for the input field.See:
https://forum.kopano.io/topic/1508/contacts2suggested-py/2Unfortunately you can’t find the script anymore. Does anyone know more about this?
Thanks

@klausf does that mean that contacts which I selected from the address book are not included in this list. Are they included only when I entered them by hand in the input field?

Hi @passt
the address from you adressbook is added to the suggestion list as soon you send a mail to this contact.
When you sent a mail to any contact (typed by hand or selected from addressbook) it should show up for the next mail as a suggestion.rg
