Feature Request: syncing of Draft folder (seems to be possible with EAS 16?)
-
Hi, according to this post
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/exchangedev/2015/06/08/announcing-exchange-activesync-v16/
EAS 16 allows the syncing of draft folders. This is an important feature especially for the Outlook users so that they can continue their work elsewhere, e.g. on the mobile. Are there plans for AS 16? I read that it improves also calendar reliability, something I feel could boost the quality of the user experience with KOE/Z-push.Regards, Jakob Curdes

Hi Jakob Curdes,
yes, we have plans to support AS 16. There is a JIRA ticket for AS 16 related tasks: https://jira.z-hub.io/browse/ZP-713.
As there are quite some new features in this protocol version, we’re planning to add support for it in a new major Z-Push version. We don’t have any ETA yet when this will be available. Don’t expect it to happen soon though.

to add to what @Manfred already said, out preliminary tests have shown that Outlook currently only support activesync up to version 14.0. So even when Z-Push would allow drafts to be synced it currently unlikely that this will be used by Outlook.

Ah, great, Microsoft is makeing everybody’s life easier where they can … I suppose there is no real workaround for the draft issue as you cannot move an unsent message into an arbitrary folder. One can send the mail to himself, but then he cannot just re-edit it easily.

For a work around for editing a previous sent or received mal you may use the “resend this mail” feature in outlook
