Public Folders Not Visible to Some Users
-
I created my users before I created the Public Folders, and now they are unable to see the public folders.
Other than delete and recreate each user, is there a way to solve this ?

Also, the same user is able to access the public Folders via webapp, but not via outlook (outlook plugin) or via MS Active Sync using z-push on a mobile.
Is there some configuration that needs to be set to make public folders visible across both z-push and the outlook connector ?

@crankshaft said in Public Folders Not Visible to Some Users:
now they are unable to see the public folders.
Normally when you create the public store later, users only need to re-login to see the store. There is no permission for the public store that is set when creating a user.
not via outlook (outlook plugin) or via MS Active Sync
The ActiveSync protocol has no concept of a shared or public store, therefore its “blind” to the existence of such a store by default. Z-Push brings some mechanisms to add additional stores and folders to be displayed, but this all needs to be configured for a user.
Our Outlook plugin uses ActiveSync under the hood so the same statement applies to it as well.

Felix, thanks, but using zarafa 7.1 with the outlook extension, public folders were visible to outlook users.
So now that the outlook connector is using z-push, these public folders are no longer visible ??

@crankshaft it’s important to mention that the koe is no 1:1 replacement for the old zarafa client. And I think we did a good job making this clear in documentation and when communicating about it.
You cannot get the whole public store, but you can open single folders. For the latter there is a menu in Outlook to manage these.
