      Hi,
I could not find anything regarding this, so please do not be angry if this question was already answered elsewhere.
I am having the following problem:
We have some public calenders. Every user in the company should be able to read them on a desktop client, what is working well.
Now we have some users which sould be able to edit them (eg using TbSync for Thunderbird, which is synchronized by z-push, using $additionalFolders array in config.php) - so they are having the right for that. But now this folders are also synced to their mobile devices (Android) what is NOT wanted.
Is there a possibility to have z-push synced additional folders only to several clients? Or does anyone have a hint how to solve this?
Best regards and thanks in advance,
      Otto

        Hi @otto001,

@otto001 said in Public folders only for several devices/users:

I would rather recommend for these users to use Kopano WebApp or DeskApp. Here you could just have these folders sitting in the public store and through acl you can decide which users (or groups of users) have what kind of access to them.

The additionalFolders in Z-Push was designed to really allow all users of Z-Push to have access to specified folders, hence you cannot make a differentiation based on the software that is used to sync the folder to the device.

But it is of course also still possible to just synchronise a folder on a specific user. Z-Push had a webservice where you can configure this -> https://wiki.z-hub.io/display/ZP/Webservice

          Hi,

thank you! WebApp or DeskApp is not really an option here :-(
But thanks for the hint with the Webservice! I did not know about that and it seems to be exactly what we need. Unfortunately we still have an older version of z-push, but are planning to upgrade our whole setup…
Best regards and thanks in advance,
          Otto
