Plugin that will detect if attachement is in doc/docx/odt format instead of pdf?

This is probably a weird small case. But, we have a school-policy that all info-documents to the parents, and others (but mostly parents) shall be in the format pdf, and not in doc/docx/odt, the reason being that pdf tends to look better across platforms and devices, and most of the time opens fast and looks like intended. But, teachers be teachers and most of the time forget this. So I wonder if someone know of a webapp plugins that will make a warning/friendly-reminder pop up if there is only a doc/docx/odt attachment, and no corresponding pdf-attachment?

There is no plugin for this AFAIK.
