ive just done an upgrade to 8.4.4.0-29 on productive server (test-env was updated a while ago), updated all libkc elements (hint for kopano-team, check dependencies, otherwise kopano-server wont start cause of unexpected version from libkcserver-ldap.so module (Version of the plugin “libkcserver-ldap.so” is not the same for the server. Expected 0x80420000 (8.4.2.0), plugin 0x80440000) ), renamed index-folder to start another initial-sync.
This is going to take a while. - My test-env was clean after this, so i think on my productive-system should be good aswell.

Our Repo including our serial number. We figured out that our license was not valid since a week…curious thing is I could not search through the repo inside the BASH. Extended the license and voila it worked…

The root user in mariadb is only accessible if you are logged in as root as it is using the unix_socket authentication.
Kopano-core is running under the kopano user and therefore you can’t use the root user.

Hi everyone,

I got the problem solved: It was my misunderstanding of “kept back” and “hold”.
All packages are now being installed manually/updated correctly and kopano-search is working again.

after rolling back my vm i started the update-process with the new repo, doenst work either!
BUT: after updating libkc* (yum update libkc*) system is loading and updating the plugins…
seems to be missing dependencies in kopano-server update

Removing EPEL repository is not an option for me as I need some of the features that repository offers.
For those interested, I added “exclude=*xapian*” to my /etc/yum.conf file to get around this.

With the help of the different cleanup scripts db-remove-orphaned-attachements and also the discussed and also removing unconnected files in the attachment directory with remove-orphaned-attachement-files it seems that at least I have no mis-connected mail to content on IMAP level anymore.

However, the situation is still not ok: despite having executed optimize-imap.py, my imap based client does NOT contain all mails which are eg in the inbox or sent folder of my web app client.

Is there any hint how to rebuild the relation (the PR_EC_IMAP_EMAIL) from scratch to all mails in the database? Or did I misunderstood something here …

Any hint highly appreciated …

there is a switch for kopano-migration-pst to import pst directly to public store

–store, -S GUID
GUID of store where to import specified PST file (or “public” to import to public store).
