      dear all,

I am currently running an old version of zarafa the detail are below working fine for quite sometime

      OS Centos 64Bit 5.9
      zarafa 7,1,2,39121
      zpush version z-push-2.0.6-1.el5

      installation was done with zadimn

I have already have a new server with the below details
      centos 6.9 64 bit
      installed zarafa 7,1,14,51822 with zadmin
      zpush version z-push-2.2.5-1.el6

i have managed to migrate zarafa dababase and ldap sucessfull and tested
      its working fine

but currently have lots of users using mobiles sync for their emails

to have the mobile data transferred so the users dont have to reconfigure their mobiles and have all their data i plan to do the below

      1. can i use the same method the one used for upgrading zpush as mentioned in install file

      2. copy the entire director /var/lib/z-push directory

do I need to run the migrate script in the tools folder.

is there anything i need to do

      appreciate you advice and help

      regards

      simon

        Hi Simon,

Zarafa and Z-Push versions you’ve selected are old. They are discontinued and there’s no support for them.

When you upgrade Z-Push to higher version sometimes it’s required to update states. Please check the INSTALL file of the new version for details. You certainly have to run some commands if you update from Z-Push 2.0.X to 2.1.X. and from 2.2.X to 2.3.X.

How many mobiles are connected? Maybe it’s more simple to install a fresh Z-Push 2.3.8 (final release planned for this Wednesday) and let the devices resync instead of upgrading states.

Instead of Zarafa I suggest you to install the latest Kopano version.

        Manfred
