Dear all
I just did the same on my Debian 8. But it is not the 2.8.51 that it is beeing searching for but libgsoap-kopano-2.8.50
Sep 1 21:24:39 oklahoma kopano-server[2788]: /usr/sbin/kopano-server: relocation error: /usr/sbin/kopano-server: symbol soap_new_REQUIRE_lib_v20850, version GSOAPSSLXX not defined in file libgsoapssl++-kopano-2.8.50.so with link time reference
I have installed the 2.8.51 from package core 8.4.90.73 package
but it is not working that way.Help would be much appreciated.

Hello to the both of you.
Depending on when you downloaded and for which distribution the dependency may indeed be different. I’ll have to check the packaging in the next week to see why it does recommend an unavailable package to you.
The good thing though is that you don’t need to install any -dev or -dbg packages for normal operation. Like explained in the manual I would go for the
kopano-server-packages
and resolve dependencies from there. -
Dear Felix
Thank you for the answer. Actually I just realized that I’m using not exactly this package but core-8.4.90.118_0+21-Debian_Testing-amd64.
As it contains the php7 stuffBut the result is in the end the same with these isntalled I’m not able to run Kopano successfully.
what I mai try in the meantime is to remove everything and start from begin.
Kind regards

I have updated my system from Debian 8 to 9 and installed Kopano Packages for it
At the moment it looks better, but I have some configuration issues to fix.Update:
Kopano core now runs with PHP7
Webapp is now working and I received emails.OT:
Mysql DB server doesn’t start correctly by “service mysql start” it just says that it is not able to connect to socket file. when i run it manually with “sudo -u mysql mysqld”, it comes up.But there is definitly an issue with the Debian 8 package(s). At least in my environment as it was before.
Thanks and regards

I solved this.
Today, i did removed each file, which name contains *DBG and i did installed the server.
BUT!!!
After install, i have multiple errors with SQL.
After install, server can’t found stored procedures in db…ok, i found this page https://stash.kopano.io/projects/KC/repos/kopanocore/browse/provider/libserver/ECDatabaseMySQL.cpp?at=02dff21f6621d422a3731f8b556f0a0f42444c8a&rawand i manually added the procedures in db… all working? Nein! Server log have many messages like:
Sun Sep 3 16:33:19 2017: [error ] SQL [00000019] result failed: BIGINT UNSIGNED value is out of range in '(`kopano`.`properties`.`tag` - 0x8501)' Sun Sep 3 16:33:19 2017: [error ] SerializeObject failed with error code 0x80000007 for object 83 Sun Sep 3 16:33:23 2017: [error ] SQL [00000020] result failed: BIGINT UNSIGNED value is out of range in '(`kopano`.`properties`.`tag` - 0x8501)' Sun Sep 3 16:33:23 2017: [error ] SerializeObject failed with error code 0x80000007 for object 83
This errors, i see with any operation with messages.
And i have one, but exclusive question - wtf? Is the community version a beta, or alfa?
This errors, it’s my configuration issues? If yes - tell me where i mistaked?
Or this errors is in the code? When the fix is will be? -

If is a nightly development snapshot.

You would need to tell more about your configuration to be able to judge on this, besides from using packages for Ubuntu 17.04 you did not say much ;-) (on a similar not I would only recommend to use the ubuntu lts releases)
Generally speaking, if needed, the kopano-server process should create any databases or tables, as well as stored procedures on its own (given the configured user has enough permissions to do so).

Among all the distros named here, I could not make out which one you were really using now. Anyhow, Debian_Testing packages for kopano-core had not succesfully built because of a name mismatch with gsoap, so they were left in an old state that. This has been addressed early this morning and they are produced again by now.
