Kopano (in ucs) with windows ldap organize contacts
-
Hi everyone,
we are using Kopano 8 in ucs 5 with Windows Server 2016 as Active Directory Domain Controller.
We have just updated from ucs 4 to 5.
I need to add external contacts to global addressbook. What is the best way with Kopano ?
With UCS4 the following worked: I added a new user in UCS user environment, saved as Kopano-Contact and with the external emailaddress, and I saw the entry in the global addressbook.
This is not possible with UCS 5 now. Can anybody tell me, how it could work ?
I have just added a contact in my active directory, but this contact is not shown in kopano / ucs.Hope there is a way. Because it is important for us.
And maybe a further question: I created a contact folder in public folder in kopano. But I cannot choose this contact folder if I write a mail. How this could work ?
Thanks and best regards

Kopano Contacts should be available witz ucs5 too - I also upgraded from ucs4 to 5 - only i’m not using Windows DC but you may check in the management interface on “Domain” and there should be Kopano Contacts Icon see screen belowregards christian

@externa1 Thanks for your reply.
Do you know where do I see these contacts ? I could save an entry in Kopano contacts. But I don’t see them in outlook or webapp at present. -
@kamikaze
You should see them in the global address list -
@externa1 Well, it seems ucs system need a bit time. Now I can see the contact. But unfortunately, there is no possibility to add contact groups.
At present I think the possibility in public folders would be the best in our school. But the greates problem: I don’t see the contact groups in Outlook. And especially our headmaster works with Outlook. We have a Kopano subscribstion and I installed Kopano extension for Outlook as well. But unfortunately I cannot see / add contact groups in public folder. Does anybody see a possibily to use contact groups in public folder in Outlook as well ?
