      I get this message from time to time both in Outlook for Android and Gmail(exchange) on android. It basically asks me to login again. Push and everything works, but it randomly just asks for the password for the account. And if you put the password in again it works again…for some time…

      Outlook on my PC works just fine.

      Not really sure what it is. I’ve checked the logs for z-push, but unable to find anything that should make it want re-login. I’ve attached the logs. I’ve just renamed the 2 emails.

        @clausdk I’m not sure about the reason but I we get that when the server is down or not reachable for a short while.
        Our server is a VM and if that VM is restarted most users who try to sync the Android app during that downtime will be prompted to login when the server is back.

        Could it be that the Android app does something funny here? Maybe "Oh I can’t reach the server so I better delete the credentials "?

          Same at my setup - if the authentication back-end is unavailable the password prompt comes up…and if it returns its gone…if not I need to reboot my mobile device and it works fine again…in my case i had this issue several times with my openldap

            Is it possible this happens when you daily SQL backup is running?

            If you are using mysql, make sure to use the

            –single-transaction

            it will not slow down the availability of the database.

            I combine with --single-transaction --routines

            If you never used --single-transaction before, this problem would grow over time, as your DB gets bigger.

            Two ways your can get client devices asking for password again:

            • The Z-Push is available, but kopano-server is not available

            • If the database server is too slow to accept new requests (or not available/offline), kopano-server can’t do much in regards to authenticating users.
