Kopano Meet down for days - cause of Letsencrypt CA issue
-
Hi folks,
as we were told by support, kopano meet is down (cant connect to turn server and telling me: “could not connect to server - check your internet connection”) cause of the letsencrypt-ca issue (outdated).
There is no workaround or resolution to this issue.
So does this mean that absolutly no kopano-meet-installation is working at the moment?
Do you know a workaround?
Thanks a lot!

Hi @mcdaniels,
this issue is about expired letsencrypt CA root certificate.
You can try this things:
- try to update your linux operating system. You will get new certificates and new version of openssl
- update all certificates from letsencrypt
Upgrading OS solved my problem one week ago.

@flobian Thanks a lot. As Felix mentioned, we use UCS (this is why the crosspost “happened”). I,ll try to hop to the next release. Perhaps it helps.
Update: Unfortunatly it does not help on UCS it seems.

@mcdaniels
my installation is on UCS, too.I had to disable all kopano repositories. Run the upgrade, activate kopano repositories …
Only issue left is: kopano-search does not update index after upgrade from 8.7.13 to 8.7.23.
Good luck!

We are now on: 4.4-8 errata1067 and were told NOT to update to the 5.x cause of missing kopano-packages. (by our supporter)
I assume you are @ UCS 5.0

@mcdaniels
Thanks for your reply. No I didn’t upgrade to 5.0 so far. Current UCS version is 4.4-8 errata1060. -
Now I ran univention-upgrade and: Current UCS version is 4.4-8 errata1069
The following packages will be upgraded:
firefox-esr-l10n-de,firefox-esr,univention-errata-level,libruby2.3,ruby2.3 -
@flobian
well I updated now too. We are running the same UCS version now. No luck at all.Still this message after logging in to UCS and try to use kopano meet. Still unsure whether this message is triggered by not being able to connect to the ucs-kopano turn server, or not.
