Kopano Multi tenant

Hi all,

I am testing kopano on a Univentation System.

Everyting is working ok on a single domain/instance.

I would like to test the multi tenant option.

I already made the changes recomended on the oficial kopano wiki about multi tenant but when i try to create the company it gives an error after running the script ./createcompany.

ERROR: KOPANO_COMPANY and KOPANO_COMPANYID is not set

Maybe this is just a enterprise option?? i have a trial of profissional version and it gives the same error.

Is this a enteprise option only or is something about the kopano version in UCS?

it reads a bit like you have a slight misunderstanding how the multi tenant configuration works with Kopano.

The Univention app uses the ldap backend of Kopano (as it is generally recommended) and with the ldap backend you need to organise your tenants into branches of your ldap tree (by default these are grouped below an item with organizationalUnit). kopano-server then scans the ldap tree on certain triggers and creates these “companies” and the users within automatically. No need to run manual commands to create the “company”.

Configuring multi tenant for UCS is generally possible, but not included in the app to not encourage people to provide hosting with the free of charge app.

I recommend to get in touch with the Kopano sales team. They can both send you pricing information for pay per use hosting pricing and can send you an offer to configure your ucs setup for hosting environments.
