Kopano Meet integrate with Wordpress website?
-
I have wordpress website and i want to integrate Kopano meet. What I am thinking is to setup a separate cloud server and install kopano on the cloud server. Will this work or what step should I follow to make it working like www.mywordpresswebsite.com/meet?

Hi @younis,
sure I can’t think of a real reason why Meet cannot be installed on the same server as for example wordpress. You only need to make sure that you can proxy all the required url routes to Meet (and the rest to your wordpress).
About what kind of integration are you thinking? Something similar to https://splash.meet-app.io/?

ntegration are you thinking?
Thank you for your response.
I am basically asking it because my website is hosted on a different server and my Meet will be hosted on Google cloud server where I will install Ubuntu 18.04 for Meet.
Yes I am thinking the same kind of integration similar to https://splash.meet-app.io/
And can you please share any useful guide link or video link which can help me to understand the whole configuration and installation process from 0 to end.
Thank you.

Hi @younis,
the most detailed documentation is currently https://documentation.kopano.io/kopano_meet_manual/, but this mostly focuses on installing meet alongside the rest of the kopano components. which is probably not what you want to do. but the documentation also focuses so far on the use case to have mostly known users and only selected guests, which again is not what you are aiming for.
I would recommend to reach out to our sales team (you should by now gotten a response to your trial request that established a first contact). I imagine that further down the road you want to include some branding of your own, which in the current state is not yet possible.

Hi @fbartels ,
but the documentation also focuses so far on the use case to have mostly known users and only selected guests. (This is actually what I wanted. I wanted to use kopano meet for my own organization people. Only selected people will be allowed.)
My only concern is if it is possible to host a website on a different server and kopano meet on a different server?
Thank you.

Yes, with the appropriate webserver configuration this is certainly possible. If you need help there make sure to reach out to the Kopano support.

So, has anyone actually done that? I’m thinking about doing the same thing right now, but I’m not sure how to do it. I’m also thinking about setting up a separate cloud server and installing kopano on the cloud server. However, my friend told me I could face specific issues with the servers. I know it would work the best if you have a limited Proxy connection, but what if the website won’t accept it? It’s a WordPress gym website made by xxx. The owner is a friend of mine, and he asked me to do it.
