Debian Buster packages

No… Please dont use the debian kopano 8.7.0.
Sure for testing, but dont use it in production.
its really to buggy.Pick a development version (nightly) from the community repo.
Test with that and @mcdaniels, mail the debian maintainer if you could update kopano in debian unstable.
That would open the path for an “buster-backport” -
@thctlo : It is for my homeenvironment - only 1 user (me). Used Kopano for a long time now and try to switch to debian Buster.
@fbartels: So, the repo will be:
#deb https://serial:xxx@download.kopano.io/limited/core:/final/Debian_10.0/ ./ #deb https://serial:xxx@download.kopano.io/limited/webapp:/final/Debian_10.0/ ./
?
-
@mcdaniels its
https://download.kopano.io/limited/core:/final/Debian_10/
now (we dropped the.0
at the end) -
-
@fbartels :Perhaps you could also give me some hint on this error when trying to apt-get update.
The repository 'https://download.kopano.io/limited/webapp:/final/Debian_10 ./ Release' does not have a Release file.
-
Just “checked” that I can look myself whether there is something built for Buster or not. The Webapp is not in the repo at the moment.
-
@mcdaniels yes, you can indeed just browse this with your webbrowser. WebApp buster packages are btw. already below supported. Although I am not entirely sure if this was intentional or not (cc @marty).

@thctlo @mcdaniels
I’m testing debian 10 buster testing with the official debian kopano repo 8.7 since 02/2019 and i found no problems. Since then debian 10 and now 10.1 ist released and still no problems in my test equipment. Sure, i didn’t use it in production environment, now now but i planned it. What are your reasons or drawbacks to use the development nightly but not the official debian 10 kopano 8.7.0-3 repo and which bugs do you found?thanks
-
@bongo said in Debian Buster packages:
official debian kopano repo 8.7

official debian 10 kopano 8.7.0-3
It sounds like with “official” you are referring to the packages included in Debian Buster, is that correct? From our point of view only the packages from download.kopano.io are the official ones.
-
@bongo Hai, wel thats great that your running without noticing these bugs then.
Can you describe your setup? how its setup and what is running?I suggest, you look at the kopano changelogs between 8.7.0 and 8.7.5.

now (we dropped the.0
at the end)at the moment the whole repo is not available. Last week it worked.
-
No, the repo is available, but your using : https://download.kopano.io/limited
Your licence might have expired.use : https://download.kopano.io/community/core:/final/Debian_10/
And i can say that the current packages in above link work fine for me.
-
No, my license hasn’t expired.
An apt update generates the error:
The depot “https://download.kopano.io/limited/core:/final/Debian_10 Release” does not contain a release file anymore.
I think the whole directory doesn’t exist at the moment.

And i can say that the current packages in above link work fine for me.That link does not exist either. there is no “final” directory in the nightly downloads.

Yes, that is correct. There was a mishap last week where packages meant for the pre-final download ended up in the final directory. for the supported downloads this was cleaned up, but for the limited this seems to have been forgotten.
If it has to be Debian 10, then you could try out the pre-final packages from https://download.kopano.io/limited/core:/pre-final/Debian_10/. We’re currently only waiting for an update of the Univention App before we can release the version from the pre-final repo.
-
Are there any updates about this?
Debian Buster was released many months ago and this is time to upgrade! -
No updates?
Aren’t Debian 10 packages available?
Really? -
I did not check in personally, but they should be available.
