[Samsung BUG] Z-Push does not synchronise birthday entries if the contacts birthday was before 1980?
-
Hi @AnotherAndy,
could you post a wbxml of how such a birthday is synced to your phone? You mention that the birthday is shown in outlook, how have you connected outlook to your Kopano installation?
Could it be that the magical date is actually 1.1.1970 instead of 1980?

Hi Felix,
how can I create such a webxml log?
My Outlook is connected via z-push.
It can be, that the magic date is 1.1.1970 . I just checked a contact born in 1976 - his birthday is in and another contact born in 1966 - and this event entry is not in my calendar.
Is there a well known issue?
best regards

Have you tried a different Android phone? Perhaps it is the client that is the problem?
FYI - I use a custom (Z-Push) backend and Samsung devices and a 1935 birthday syncs correctly so it is unlikely there is a core Z-Push issue.

Hi Andreas,

A how-to is available here: https://wiki.z-hub.io/display/ZP/Debugging

Hi @liverpoolfcfan , thanks for the Info - are you also running Android 9?
Thanks @Manfred I created a a webxml Logfile now.Dear @fbartels- I have a logfile with hats 800KB, but it contains a lot of sensitive data. There is no search hit for “error” in it, and he wants to import 52 events:
10/06/2019 17:03:00 [26210] [DEBUG] ExportChangesICS->InitializeExporter() successfully. 52 changes ready to sync for ‘6e04b361dd504814a09c06c42378d4703f0000000000’.
Also my mums birthday is in it. Which part of the logfile do you need?
best regardsAndreas

Hi Andreas,
If you have a valid Kopano subscription, you can upload the log file with the issue. Otherwise you can upload the log file somewhere and send the link per PM. Or at least post a part with Birthday value for a contact for which a birthday is missing. But if you say your mother’s birthday is in it, then it’s rather a client issue.

thanks manfred. I have a subscription. But first I will try to reproduce the problem on another device.
I agree with you that it seems to be a client issue.
If I have News I will come back here. @liverpoolfcfan - can you post your android and samsung calender version?
Mine ist 9, Update May and Calendar 10.1.00.9
best regards
Andreas -
just a short update. It really seems to be a client issue.
I added a Windows Mail Active Sync client and here all birthday entries are in. Will open a bug at samsung.
best regards

Yesterday I had a Samsung S10e device for testing with me.
I added my z-push Account and unfortunately here I got the same issue.
No birthday entires for “older” people are shown. On my Outlook 365, in the Webapp and even on Windows 10 Email - all connceted via Z-Push - the Birthday events are shown…
and Samsung never replied to my “Bug” in the calenderLooks like I am the only on with that issue. I can live with it because I nearly every day use Desktop Clients, so the birthday popups are shown.
so this message was more FYI
