[solved] Is there a technical limit for the mailboxsize?
-
Hello all,
we use Kopano on UCS 4.4. So we are coming from exchange, there is a limit the microsoft supported mailboxsize. So is there also a limit on kopano too?
Thanks a lot

not that I am aware of, at least in kopano-core and Webapp as a front end.

The present layout of the “hierarchy” SQL table places a limit of ≈4.29*10^9 (2^32) “objects” (folders/messages/recipients/attachments) per server. Hardcore users generate ≈10000 mails/year, or ≈32000 objects/year. Inbox size statistically shows up as a heavy-tailed distributions, so most users will be below that in an exponential fashion. Contemporary installations do not appear to reach the limits yet due to practical hardware constraints, and administrators prefer to split the database into multiple servers before that.
Should not be too hard (by my standards) to go to 2^64.

That’s a clear statement. Very thanks!
