Deskapp on Debian 8 - Cannot attach files with umlaut-filenames

Hi!

I am using the latest kopano-deskapp on Debian 8. Everything is working fine except one thing:

I cannot attach files with “umlauts” in their name. If I do this, deskapp is attaching the file indefinitely. Sams problem on “google-chrome” on debian. Firefox does not show this problem.

Do you have any idea on how to solve this?

Which version of WebApp do you use?
Do you see errors in the console?

I tried it with different versions.
Last test was with demo.kopano.com (Version: 3.5.3.2209+89.1)

Same with some older versions: (3.4.6.1210+710.1)

At the moment, I have no system to try. Are there any plans for updates of your demo-system?

I’ve passed along the request, but for now I would say upgrade that older version you were testing (3.4.6)

You could give https://github.com/zokradonh/kopano-docker a try. This will give you a quick demo environment with the current nightly releases (and some older nightlies on docker hub).

Same Probleme here with Safari (Apple) on webapp 3.5.1.2047.
Firefox (Linux) seams ok.

@irrlicht The same advice to you. Upgrade to a new version and retry or try kopano-docker (Above post of fbartels)
