permanent hard disk access
-
Hello,
I have permanent hard disk accesses when the kopano-server and mysql are running.
Only Kopano and mysql are running on the Server (Ubuntu-Server 18.04., virtualized, 4GB RAM, 2 Core’s)
Only two users access the server. Everything is fine, only the permanent accesses annoying.
What can I do to minimize this access to the hard drive.Regards

In my case stop/deactivate service kopano-search reduced disk access
-
what is “top” saying?

I have already disabled these services:
kopano-kapid
kopano-konnectd
kopano-search
unfortunately no change :-( -
@mcdaniels
all right, no abnormalities!I have no solution …

spamd is also a service (its listed in your top output), which polls ics (and therefor kopano-server) for changes.
kapid and konnect do not poll, so will not make a difference.
But its kind of a weird notion to optimise a server system for minimal disk access (the same amounts to minimal ram usage), if you are worried about rotating disks, just upgrade to ssd.

@fbartels
Thank you, the deactivation of the service kopano-spamd was successful. I filter out spam in advance.
I use the server for three users at home. Previously, I had used Zarafa for years and was very satisfied.
Perfect, thanks a lot! :-)
