      Hello,

I have tried to search these forums to see if it was possible to setup email for our scenario, but I could not find any solutions and have tried many things without success. If someone could provide some guidance, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am trying to setup a Kopano server for a franchise store. The main company for example is abc.com and all users at this store have email addresses at the corporate abc.com domain name. They would like to have the additional groupware features that corporate does not provide, hence I was thinking Kopano. I can not figure out if it would be possible to still send email as abc.com email address?

Corporate administrators for abc.com have whitelisted the Kopano mail server IP address for allowing relay through their mail servers. I am currently able to pop the email via fetchmail, but I can not send email as abc.com.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

      Thank you!

        Hi @mcseinmaine ,

I would rather recommend to work with a dedicated (sub)domain for the branch office, as this will spare you some headaches in setup and maintenance. If you still want to use the same domain everywhere you need to look into transport maps to establish which users should be relayed externally (at the corporate mailserver) and which users should be delivered to your local Kopano system.

Such setups are a bit more complex, so I would recommend to either get help from a Kopano partner, or to buy some prof services from Kopano itself for that.

        Regards Felix
