      Hi,

I want to use: kopano-migration-pst but kopano-utils is not installed. I don’t find a lot info about the installation of kopano-utils. I’ts not yet installed this package how can I do that?

      I have:
      kopano-dagent
      kopano-gateway
      kopano-ical
      kopano-monitor
      kopano-search
      kopano-server
      kopano-spooler

As you can see kopano-utils is missing. I don’t know why but I need it because of the migration-pst which I want to use.

      Can someone help me.

      Thanks,

        Hi @hispeed ,

what does kopano-migration-pst have to do with kopano-utils? These are two packages that are independent of each other.

        Regards Felix

          Moin Hispeed,
kopano-migration-pst, kopano-migration-imap, kopano-utils are as indipendent packages all found on kopano.io download package section community or supported edition. In your case most likely here (k4s is on debian 9): https://download.kopano.io/community/core:/core-8.6.80.1248_0%2B176-Debian_9.0-amd64.tar.gz.
It looks like apt-get install kopano-server-packages does not include these packages by default. I will add them into next release of k4s in case it is no coincidence with your nickname in other forums and you are still using synology migrating from z4h to k4s. -TosoBoso

Hi Tosoboso (me confused and surprised, “ja” we know each other from the synology-forum),

What happened here ;=)… yes I’m using still your Zarafa4h but I switch now to Ubuntu and Kopano Community version. I got it all running and up with certificate and everyhting. Now I need to migrate the emails from your z4h to Kopano. There are a few other reasons why I decided to use a dedicated virtual machine for this.
Your Synology version is of course still nice.

Back to my question. Fbartels and you are etlling me that this kopano-migration-pst is an independent package and is included but not by default with the installation of Kopano Core?
            How I can I install kopano-migration-pst ?

This is how I made the package for the core:

// Beginn der Core Installation auf Ubuntu von Kopano
            mkdir -p /home/kopano/amd64
            cd /home/kopano/amd64
            wget https://download.kopano.io/community/core:/core-8.6.80.1169_0%2B164-Ubuntu_18.04-amd64.tar.gz
            tar xfvz core-8.6.80.1169_0+164-Ubuntu_18.04-amd64.tar.gz
            cd core-8.6.80.1169_0+164-Ubuntu_18.04-amd64
            cd /home/kopano
            apt-ftparchive packages amd64/ > amd64/Packages
            echo "deb [trusted=yes] file:/home/kopano amd64/" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/kopano-com.list
            apt update
            apt install kopano-server-packages

            That’s what I get at the moment…

            root@svgwma-kopa-02:/home/kopano# kopano-migration-pst

Command 'kopano-migration-pst' not found, but can be installed with:

            apt install kopano-utils

            root@svgwma-kopa-02:/home/kopano#

              apt install kopano-migration-pst?

The reference to kopano-utils probably comes from the Kopano packages in the Ubuntu repository.

Then I can only guess that you have since the original installation removed the custom repo that you have created above. The package is part of the current archive (and I am pretty sure it was back then as well)

                  Package: kopano-migration-pst
                  Source: kopano

kopano-migration-pst is a utility to import PST files into Kopano. As PST
files are basically MAPI dumps, and Kopano also uses MAPI internally, there
should be practically no data loss, even including calendar data.

                    Hi,

I got it working ;=). Learned a lot and I found out my mistake. Yes it was included.

I also imported contacts. It worked well but I have some strange information in one field and also a “Umlaute” problem.

This is how it looks now in the Webapp.

Question 1: Why it has problem with ü and probably with ä ?`

Question 2: Zusätzliche Informationen is containing some fonts information and strange other numbers and letters…
