Internal mail to 'everyone' is undelivered

Kopano Core: 8.6.2 / WebApp: 3.4.19.1649+73.1 / UCS 4.3-1 errata229
When trying to send an internal mail to ‘everyone’ i get a
Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender
back from the kopano-spooler.In spooler.cfg
allow_send_to_everyone
is explicitly set toyes
. Anyone know of anything else that needs to be set?Kind regards.

Did the “Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender” come from the spooler or from the MTA?

Hi Tjoen,
The return msg states:
Unfortunately, kopano-spooler was unable to deliver your mail to the/some of the recipient(s).
So the kopano-spooler i would say.

Perhaps this in server.cfg?
hide_everyone
If this option is set to ‘yes’, the internal group Everyone (which always contains all
users) will be hidden from the Global Addressbook. Thus, users will not be able to
send e-mail to this group anymore, and also will not be able to set access rights on
folders for this group. Administrators will still be able to see and use the group. -
Hi @mcostan
Thanks for your reply. No, it’s set to the default:no
.Digging a bit further: Selecting the ‘Everyone’-group from the global address book and everyone gets the message, but sending a mail to
everyone@domain.tld
and i get the undelivered msg. So i’ve got the feeling theeveryone@domain.tld
is not used for the ‘Everyone’-group by default any more?!We used this a lot on Zarafa and i’ve got some services sending mail to this address. Would be nice if this could be set/reconstructed somehow.

@jmx said in Internal mail to 'everyone' is undelivered:

Ah, now we’re getting somewhere. The problem here is that these internal groups cannot be resolved from the outside and therefore have no email address. But this has been like this for as long as I can remember.
My guess would be that you had a custom group on your old system which has the
everyone@domain.tld
address and that resolved to all your users.
