birthday reminders

Hi,
If i add a date for birthday on an contact in outlook or in deskapp i get an automatic recurring event in my calendar - but if i add an birthday date to an contact on mobile (in my test iphone ios 10.x) i do not get this auto entry in my calendar - is it possible to change this to also get an calendar entry by adding birthday on mobile ?

Hi Christian,
which backend are you using? For Kopano backend I know for sure that we don’t add a calendar event (which is required for a reminder) for a contact’s birthday.
I don’t know if someone has implemented this functionality for one of the community contributed backends like carddav and caldav and if yes if it’s working as expected.Manfred
